The Collins Train Depot Event venue can provide a great setting for your next event. The depot has a large, air-conditioned waiting room that can accommodate up to 350 people. There is also a stage and sound system available for use. Additional features of the depot include a baggage storage area and a kitchen.

The Lake Thoreau Environmental Center hiking area is a great place to explore the natural beauty of Mississippi. The trails are well-maintained and provide hikers with a variety of options for exploring the park. There are several short and easy hikes that can be completed in a half-hour or less, while longer trails offer scenic views and plenty of opportunity for a leisurely hike.

The center also offers interpretive programs and various events throughout the year, including hikes, birding excursions, and nature walks. The park is open from sunrise to sunset daily, and visitors can find parking near the main entrance.
